  • Encarta Encyclopedia (Microsoft Corporation, 1995-1998): Performed developmental and substantive editing of articles about literature, performing and visual arts, and sports. Major survey articles edited included: "History of Motion Pictures" (12,000 words), "Animation" (3500 words) "Radio and Television Broadcasting" (7000 words), "Russian Literature" (9000 words) "African Literature" (5000 words), and "Drama and Dramatic Arts" (12,000 words). Edited biographies included Leo Tolstoy, Feodor Dostoyevsky, Anton Chekhov. Also wrote media captions and some shorter articles (bios of Nobel winners Dario Fo and Wislawa Szymborska; "Theater of the Absurd").

  • Encyclopedia of German Literature (multiple authors; Fitzroy Dearborn, 2000): Copyedited and fact-checked bibliographies.
